Ervine's Auto Repair

This is the best auto shop in Grand Rapids. They are great communicators of the status of your car, what is being worked on etc. they even will call me at times to tell me a certain service I requested is not needed to save me money. They use technology and pictures to show you the work being done. On top of all of this, they have the most amazing staff there from Jenn and the girls at the front desk to Steve, the head mechanic (I think). 5 stars all around! Thank you all for taking by care of my jeep over the years

Their communication, skilled mechanics and excellent customer service have made me an Ervine's customer for life. I didn't realize how many auto repair businesses take hybrid vehicles without having the experience and knowledge it takes to service them properly. Thankfully Ervine's was recommended to me for my Rav-4 Hybrid and I no longer dread having to bring my car in to be looked at. You can expect a fair price, honesty and for your vehicle to be fixed. And as a bonus, no need to go to the dealership!

I took my hybrid Volvo xc90 T8 to Ervine’s after it sat at a local Volvo dealer waiting to be diagnosed. I had it moved to Ervines bc dealer wanted to charge $218 for each code or issue they found. With 128,000 miles and the EPB locked plus the # of warnings & notifications on my front screen I was looking at around $2,000 to have them give me an estimate. Ervines charged $166 and printed a 34 page report complete with pictures and cost to fix each issue they then organized in a high to low priority such as, if electric parking brake isn’t addressed it doesn’t really matter that a ball joint is loose. This is exactly what I wanted from dealer but not at $2k+. Ervines gave me a loaner fixed what I could afford and made sense given the year & miles and I drove off 2 days later & spent about what dealer wanted just to diagnose. They took the time to run through priority and what I could hold off on until I was certain I was keeping it and could afford it. Super friendly, priced in line or lower with what I read online and I definitely would highly recommend them and will be going back to tackle some issues. Great local business and takes the time to explain these EV and hybrid

We received excellent service at Ervine’s after being referred by a dealership to have our hybrid looked at. From the first contact, it was clear we were in good hands. Steve described in detail everything they would do to diagnose our issues and made drop off super easy. After they had a chance to check over the entire car, we had a phone conversation about their findings, which included an email with descriptions, pictures and prices for all recommended services. We felt fully informed and confident in deciding which repairs fit our budget. The level of transparency and communication was exceptional. We would absolutely recommend Ervine’s and will be returning for future service.

I had brought them my model 3 for a heating issue. I had several conversations with the staff about my issue and they pointed out a few other things that will be needed. A++ service. My vehicle will be back! Much appreciated Ervine’s team!!
